生華科 腦癌新藥申請美FDA臨床

生華科（6492）旗下腦癌新藥經美國史丹佛大學醫學團隊驗證，可殺死癌細胞，；該利多除了加速團隊規畫年底向美國FDA申請臨床試驗（IND）外，也將申請罕見兒科疾病優先審查憑證（PRV）資格，若順利取得，潛在價值約1.25億美元到3.5億美元。
史丹佛醫學團隊近日於全球知名的重要期刊”Science Signaling”發表一項臨床前的研究論文，驗證CX-4945可殺死腦癌細胞，且接受治療的小鼠存活期更超過一年，該正面消息也讓CX-4945未來有機會取代現有的治療藥物，搶攻全球高達近千億台幣的腦瘤治療藥物商機下，激勵生華科昨（2）日股價直奔漲停，以78.1元作收，並有407張買單高掛。
生華科表示，該藥品將與美國史丹佛大學醫學團隊共同開發，並與美國兒童腦瘤聯盟合作，規畫年底向美國申請臨床試驗（IND），目前已獲美國癌症研究中心（NCI）全額贊助臨床經費，預估規模約為300萬美元。
由史丹佛大學醫學團隊Dr. Teresa Purzner主導進行的一項雙盲、隨機小鼠實驗中，對照組藥物vismodegib是由美國Genentech藥廠開發，也是第一個被FDA核准、針對Hedgehog（Hh）傳導路徑的SMO蛋白抑制劑，藉由關閉Hh路徑的訊息傳導，抑制癌細胞的複製生長。但vismodegib的療效強烈卻不持久，容易造成癌細胞的抗藥性，腫瘤大概在治療6∼7個月後就會復發。
因此，在篩選超過四千種化合物後，史丹佛團隊選中了生華科的CX-4945，不但可以調控SMO的下游基因，並直接或間接影響三處Hh路徑的訊息傳導，比SMO的單一標靶更有潛力，因為較難有任何突變可以突破三道關卡。
生華科表示，該項臨床試驗針對的髓母細胞瘤，在美國屬於罕見兒科疾病，若臨床順利，將同步申請罕見兒科疾病優先審查憑證（PRV）資格，PRV可以轉賣大藥廠，縮短審查時間，加速藥品上市，據相關市場資料指出，近年成交價格從1.25億美元到3.5億美元不等。
